Jokin is mainly responsible for the coordination of the strategy of the department including the coordination of international projects. Jokin Garatea is graduated in Law Studies at Deusto University, Spain. He is an expert in International Commerce, by the University of the Basque Country, and Graduated in European Economy at the Instituto Hispano-Alemán. He is also graduated in Knowledge Transfer at the Open University UK and graduated in Microeconomics of Competitiveness in Clusters at the Basque Institute of Competitiveness in cooperation with Harvard Institute of Competitiveness. He has broad experience in the definition of cluster activities (advisor for Clusters, Universities, RTOs and Governments on European, International and local public and private funding opportunities for R&D, Cluster Responsible for mobility and exchange of professionals’, Leonardo projects and others, and student internships among clusters, cluster responsible for Building and maintaining international networks of Clusters, ICT and non ICT, an companies). Living Lab expert and council member of ENoLL since 2012, he has a great vision of the Living Lab approach and broad experience and understanding of co-creation and co-design methodologies.
