Statistics on the applications received and approved for the Open Call for external research proposal evaluators

Recently the VITALISE consortium completed the process of evaluating the applications for the position of the external evaluator for Transnational Access research proposals. The candidates were notified via email regarding the results of the process. Here we would like to share with you some statistics regarding the applications received.

Within the framework of the Open Call for external research proposal evaluators, a total of 19 applications were received. 10 of the applicants (53%) were male and 9 of the applicants (47%) were female. The majority of the applicants (68%) came from the public sector, and only 32% from the private sector. By means of education, 53% of the applicants hold a master’s degree and 47% of the applicants hold a PhD in the fields of technology (26%), humanities (47%) and medicine (26%).

Out of the 19 applications in total, 11 were approved. 4 of the approved applicants are male (36%) and 7 of them are female (64%). The majority of the approved applicants (64%) comes from the public sector, and 36% from the private sector. By means of education, 36% of the applicants hold a master’s degree and 64% of the applicants hold a PhD degree in the fields of technology (18%), humanities (36%) and medicine (45%) and more specifically psychology, gerontology, economics, bioengineer, medicine, sociology, pharmaceutics.
